- I'm an educator and an advocate for children and public education. I am blown away by what is going on in education right now. There is a lack of ethics and transparency in our government with powerful elites, and the media. I seek truth to shed light on those folks who choose not to do the right thing. I want to make my world a better place to live, which is one of the reasons I went in to teaching, and the purpose behind this blog.

- At other schools nearby, much of the same is happening. MANY teachers moved to different grade levels or classrooms just to frustrate em. *** ***1 minute ago
- In school related committee meetings, the Principal grew agitated w/ teachers who questioned his wanting inexperienced T's to eval others. *** ***2 minutes ago
- Much of what is going on with Obama's #edreform is fear based tactics....fear of being singled out and shamed/humiliated. "Comply or else." *** ***6 minutes ago
- This same Admin also had 3rd - 5th gr teachers stand up in mtg. Pointed to em and said "they" would be reason others rec'd bad/good evals. *** ***8 minutes ago
- This whole Marzano eval thing is not about "improving" teachers; it's about smoking out the verbal ones who point out issues affecting kids. *** ***12 minutes ago
- The teacher who rec'd the lowest eval score was our Rookie Teacher of the Yr. Very good teacher...not afraid to speak out. She loses, tho. *** ***14 minutes ago
- So the new Marzano rollout was immediately misused by our Admins to retaliate. One teacher who was most vocal, rec'd lowest score on campus. *** ***15 minutes ago

- The Marzano eval model is being used to silence teachers who express prof'l opinions about Principals' decisions. Creates atmosphere of fear *** ***23 minutes ago
- One teacher explained that teachers who did NOT rat out others who verbalized concerns about Admin's decisions, were downgraded on eval. *** ***26 minutes ago
- Admins wanted specifics (names) when asking teachers to explain how they extinguished others from "negative convos." If not, downgraded. *** ***28 minutes ago
- Found out our Admins graded some teachers down on Marzano's Domain 4.2 eval section for NOT ratting out other teachers. (kid u not). *** ***30 minutes ago
